Tamiyas release for January sees the classic Lancia Stratos Turbo in a special Silver Color Plated body version.
This is a special metal-plated body version of the classic Lancia Stratos Turbo, a car developed for Group 5 track races.
The classic racy form of the car is captured in style - large chin spoiler, over-fenders, rear wing and more. Interior features depictions of bucket seats and dashboard.
Comes with a full body driver figure.

Thanks for the news, Andy! Hmmm... I'm not so sure! I definitely like Lancia but I'm not gonna drop my money on this one! If they silver-plated over the parting lines (which probably they did), it's going to be a pain to fix it. I'm not sure how the previous pre-painted series from Tamiya sold, but I cannot recall not even a single build blog about one, and I'm constantly following three auto-build sites. I am skeptical and I have to say that latest marketing "smart moves" from Tamiya are not to my taste, as well as the pricing. I just pray they're not taking a "Dragon" swing! Gabriel

Hi Gabriel, I think this type of release is more targeted too collectors then builders. Well that's my take on it anyway. Andy
