Revell have released three 1/24th scale Formula 1 cars from the 2010 season.
07096 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 (L. Hamilton)
The MP.4-25 was newly developed for 2010 in accordance with the new FIA rules. McLaren had already been thinking in terms of a double diffuser and completely rebuilt the rear of the Formula 1 car with a view to perfecting the aerodynamics. So now a long fin extends from the bonnet to the rear wing and the side pods that come together behind the cockpit despite a tank with a 160 litre volume are considerably narrower. The front also with its flat raised nose is also striking.
Model-details -
- Highly detailed front and rear wings
- Multi-part eight-cylinder engine
- Detailed front and rear suspension
- True-to-original underfloor including diffuser
- Authentic tyres and rotating wheels
- Detailed cockpit
- Authentic decals for the MP4-25 in the GP versions for Bahrain, Canada and Great Britain

07097 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 (J. Button)
Jenson Button, 2009 World Champion drives the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-25 starting in pole position. After his wins in Australia and China and several second places, after the 14th race he had already clocked up 165 points and had early on secured his position among the leading five drivers.
Model-details-
- True-to-original front and rear spoilers
- Multi-part 8-cylinder engine
- Detailed wheel suspension
- True-to-original underfloor including diffuser
- Authentic tyres and rotating wheels
- Detailed cockpit
- Authentic decals for the MP4-25 in the GP versions for Australia and Great Britain

07098 MERCEDES GP PETRONAS MGP W01
At the end of 2009 Daimler's Chairman, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, announced that they had bought the Brawn GP racing team. As a result, the 2010 season sees Mercedes entering Formula One again with its own works team for the first time in 55 years. The car itself brandishes the historic silver livery reminiscent of its glorious racing past. With the drivers Nico Rosberg (start number 4) alongside the seven-times World Champion Michael Schumacher and as such the world's most successful Formula One driver ever, an exclusively all-German team enters the 2010 season. A unique situation as never before have two German drivers driven for one Formula One team. Unfortunately, both drivers dampened the hopes of clinching the World Championship title at quite an early stage, but with 188 points after 17 races have nevertheless secured Mercedes a position among the top five teams.
Model-details-
- Detailed front and rear spoilers
- Multipart 8-cylinder engine
- Detailed front and rear wheel suspensions
- True-to-the-original underbody including diffuser
- Authentic tyres and turnable wheels
- Detailed cockpit
- Authentic decals for the Mercedes GP and the GP versions of China and Germany (Rosberg) as well as Spain, Germany and Belgium (Schumacher)

The F10 Ferrari is also among the planned releases, at least according to the RoG site a few weeks back... So all in all good news for F1 builders ... I'll be curious to see how builders tackle the "chrome" finish on the McLarens.

Welcome back, Nate! Good to see you back, it's been about 4 years? What are you building these days? Rudi

Ha! I was discovered in this forum! Mainly cars. I've posted a pair on here in the last 2 weeks (Porsche 956 and DTM Audi A4). Some of the first stuff I've finished in 5 or 6 years. Lots of stuff started, nothing finished.

I found it weird that RoG produced the Brawn car with markings for both drivers, and is doing the Ferrari with markings for both drivers, but when it comes to the McLaren....they produced a separate kit for each driver. Same car...why not just produce one kit with markings for both drivers like the other 2 cars? Seems redundant to me. The Chrome shouldn't be too bad....but I can see a full bottle of Alclad chrome going into one car!
