Here is my latest model, I went to the LHS to pick up some paint and also had to get this one:

Lots of chrome on the engine which will have to go!

The body is made up of 6 pieces so some care to get it all lined up.
Some of the chrome will be replaced with metal foil.

Had my eye on this one for some time and picked it up at the LHS:

I will not be building it the box cover colour, checked out web and found a nice looking one in Burgandy with Black fenders and running boards.

Very nice Richard.

I have a Model A pick-up, my dad build(1/25 Lindberg I think). Burgundy body and black fenders. An excellent color combo.

Have done a little shopping as well.
 photo DSC01520.jpg

The MPC and the two old Monogram kits I found found quite cheap.

Ordered Tamiya's 1/20 Honda F1 RA272 a couple of days ago.

Very nice haul there Jesper, but wait, do I see a Pontiac in there? There is hope for you yet my friend!

I am interstate for work for a couple of days and came across a small hobby shop with a great selection of new and pre-loved kits, and on the top shelf covered in dust I spied this kit with a very cheap price tag

I enquired about the kit with the store owner and he said that it had been started by the previous owner who was an avid car builder, but unfortunately passed away before this "unique" project was completed. Of course I just had to see what this meant, so we cut the tape securing the lid and opened it up . . . . . .

'57 El Camino !!!!!!!

How could I pass this one up? The conversion so far is super-clean, I just hope that I can do it justice and live up to the hopes of the original owner. I promised the store owner that I would send him some photos of my progress.

Cheers, D

Damian: Ahh, the Pontiac. Well if I was ever to build a Nascar scene I would need a backmarker, somenone for the Mopars to overlap

That is quite a find there Damian. Awesome conversion.

Now please give me the time to finish it, too!

I sense that there is still some good in you, it is not too late to return from the dark side!

Actually, that does remind me of Darth Vader's helmet. Spooky!

Nice find, I look forward to following that build.

@Jesper: Thank you for forgiveness!

@Damian: Correct. Spooky! And I think is breathing steam I dream her already in dark plum color. And first I bought it as (intended) staff car! What do you say?

Cheers,
Gabriel
