Thanks Damian!
I followed a mint condition 93 Cobra after work the other day and it was a white one( white cars are not for me!) but looked sharp.

Nice. Do I sense a Pony Group Build in the offing?

We had a Chev / Chrysler group build, how about a Chev / Ford campaign, this would interest a broader audience?

Not the postman but these came home with me from the recent IPMS Nationals at Telford show.

Think there's a Lotus theme going on.

Richard totally agree, great cars and a shame not to see Lotus on the grid anymore.
I have a Tamiya Lotus 107B in the stash and want some more Lotus before I'm finished. The last F1 car I built was over 20 years ago so I'll see how I do but first I need to get some tanks and ships finished.

Nine time out of ten, the postman brings bills, but yesterday he brought my Models by Dave order:

On the left is a Ward-LaFrance P-80 "Ambassador" cab (some of you guys might recognize it), and on the right is an American-LaFrance Century Series cab. Both cabs come with the interiors, marker lights, grills, & bumpers; but the modeler has to supply the emergency lighting.

The plan is to make the Ward-LaFrance Engine 51 from "Emergency!" You probably saw that coming. And to put the American-LaFrance Century cab onto the AMT LadderChief kit to update that from a 1000-Series cab. We'll see what happens.

Looks interesting Jim, don't know anything about those trucks but looking forward to seeing what you do.

Any way my 'Black Friday' purchase arrived, along the same line as my last purchase. Lotus 72C Gold Leaf, colour matched paints, 2 pack clearcoat and not in the photo some micro filler pre-thinned white primer.
The little packet contains pre-shaped air funnel mesh both the long type and eight individual ones.

Luciano,

This is Engine 51 from the TV show "Emergency!" which ran from 1972 to 1977:

It's a 1973 closed-cab Ward-LaFrance P80 Ambassador triple-combination pumper. LACoFD (Los Angeles County Fire Department) was purchasing numerous P80s at the time, and Ward-LaFrance donated a P80 unit to Universal Studios specifically for use in the show.

James: Love those American LaFrance firetrucks. Looking forward to seeing them build, the century series in particular.

Luciano: The 1970 Lotus is one of my favorit F1's.

Thanks for the info and picture Jim, that is one interesting looking cab design. Looking forward to your build.

Jesper, I'm a Lotus fan through and through just a shame they are no longer in F1. I'm planing to pick up the Tamiya/Fujimi/Hasegawa Lotus F1 cars and the Ebbro type 49 high wing once it comes out.

You sure like Team Lotus! My very first F1 car was the Tamiya 1/12 Team Lotus Type 78. Loved that car. Unfortunately it didn't survive the cat.

Hi Brian,
Cool! I've been using the unlighted version for over three years and have been very happy with it! Kinda' nice that they've added the LEDs! 🔆

Cheers!🍺

Hey Mike,

The fan is about as loud as your bathroom fan, the only major drawback to it. The LED's are awesome. I painted my '57 Bel-air body last night, and boy do I suck at airbrushing.

The LED'S shows every over/under spray on the body.

Other than the fan noise, I'm very pleased with it.

See ya in the funnies........
