I might be persuaded to join in - if I can find the right kit. One of the old Protar Matchless or AJS racers, or the Airfix/Heller Norton Commando maybe, or the Italeri re-issued Laverda. Certainly won't be a riceburner (SWMBO would make that grounds for divorce!)
Quite fancy turning the old ESCI WD Harley into a civvy bike as well.

Nice Irvin that would be superb.

Pete

I been looking for some time to build it, I have a good figure of a dispatch rider to go along with it.

Cheers

What time scale would you all be happy with?
And what start date suits you all?

Hi Pete – I’ll go ahead and throw it out there. … How about a six month run, beginning on June 02, 2015?
The BMW R75 arrived today and I’m all revved-up and ready to submit my kickstart photo!

Hi Mike I already put it forward and 15 June was start date for 4 months I think it was. I can look at extentions if need be.
This will be wind in your hair campaign to cover all 2,3 and 4 wheel cycles.

Hi friends,

Bike campaign is a nice idea: I'm IN.

I've just finished a Zundapp Ks-750 and I'll keep the sister BMW R75 waiting until the campaign starts.

So, put the interested fellows together and let's start !

pretty much will be as new now as fully stripped , just need to strip the paint , but will build a new build also , on the one that is stripped was going to try my first scratch built spokes on the wheels and some scratch building can post how stripped it is when I get home but this is the kit

Ko it was my idea to have motorcycles, but cycles are where motorcycles started so why not.

Pete

ok, cool. If you get enough interest from Motorcycle participation (looks like you do) then making it exclusive to Motor only is fine. I just thought that having a Bicycle only campaign may not attract enough interested participation to get "rolling"

Hi Pete – You seem to have two of these going … “Bike Campaign” and “2 wheel campaign (wind in your hair)” and bicycles are now included under the “Motorcycles” heading.

Not to confuse matters more but I have a humble suggestion: One Campaign for “motorized bikes” and a separate campaign for “non-motorized bikes.” Not nay-saying, I'm actually fine with all combined. Whatever you decide, I’m in for both types!

—mike

yeah me too.
oops, I didn't actually realize this was under the MOTORCYCLES heading. I clicked into here from 'Latest Posts'.
Where are both of these campaigns, “Bike Campaign” and “2 wheel campaign (wind in your hair)”? I can only find this one.
Bicycles are now included under the “Motorcycles” heading?

Great news guys only just picked up the thread.
Any ideas on a ribbon?

Darrell I would say yes if everyone else agrees with the ketterand. As it has motorcycle front same as a trike.

Welcome everyone and remember no builds before July. I guess this is the main blog so will ask for the other to be closed.

To me, a Kettenkrad seems like quite a stretch, but it would bring some nice variety to the campaign.

As it's the 15th of july here I can assume it's safe to start?

This my intention....

Along with this set and some other bits to make a small dio at a later date.

The only minor deviation will be the speedo as my kit seems to be missing the decals but I have a round one from another kit so I just need to add a round housing for it. The kit comes with a whole bunch of stowage (two jerry cans, ammo boxes, blanket roll and more.) not sure if I will use all of it but it should look pretty good none the less. The bike as I will be doing it as a civilian version I will paint it either red or blue.

More soon-ish,

Paul

Here’s my entry … ’German BMW R75 w/sidecar’ from Great Wall Hobby. If everything goes as planned, this bike will be diorama bound.

Riding goggles down!
