1/8-9 scale 'Frankenstien' project of an early 1970's Top Fuel (nitromethane) Harley -Davidson Shovelhead hillclimber. Working on this for years on and off. Finally getting down to it. Parts from 4 kits make a pile:

As stated this has been ongoing for years, with casting parts and custom p/e these things sometimes grow out of hand and some waiting has to occur. Ordering from suppliers takes time as well.The wait is over as I have figured out most of what needs to be done. Some painting over the next few days will get some more parts ready to install.

Turning to engine detail I fitted the magneto, some tubing and a piece of flat aluminum , .035" , for the hold down clamp:

Concept , indeed. Handlebar detail continues, all of this was press fitted, with small amounts of thin ca to secure.I'll post a pic whenever it will let me.

Forward progression continues with engine test fitting. Revell engineered this to fit quite closely in the frame , tough to get it out of line. Everything looks good as far as plumbing and line-up goes:
