Building a paddy wagon from AMT's Fruit Wagon would be a great venture into scratch building. This is actually quite a nice little nudge in the right direction. I bought Evergreen sheets awhile back and I've only managed to keep their shape. So, I think they're ready for a T.. Thanks for the spark!

Actually, I'm thinking of doing a Paddy Wagon from AMT's Model T Delivery Van (less scratch building involved, so it might actually get done). I'll be interested to see yours, Andrew. Might give me some ideas.

What if the campaign started September 1st 2016 and ran for six months this will give time for locating a subject ?

I believe Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim) approved the last one. Not really sure if anyone has taken over for the auto modeler site.

Correct, send requests to Jim for approval. I don't think we have an Auto Group Build admin at the moment.

Right on. I think I'll be going the C-cab route unless I can build two from the kit. If it doesn't go against the grain of campaigns I'll be doing research before Sept. so if you're looking for anything specific I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I'm not going to take part in the campaign but I was just checking to see if anyone needs an idea for an entry. I bought this kit a while back just to get a couple of the 1/25 scale guns out of it for a different campaign. The car kit is complete. I ended up painting two of the guns but only used one of them. Everything else is there. I have no plans for this kit and if someone needs a kit for their entry just send me your address and I will put it in the mail. I don't want anything for it. I just don't need it.

Thanks,
Randy

I like the Revell 1990 Ford Mustang state trooper kit. I know Illinois and Wisconsin used them-- I've lived in both.
My house is in disarray for a few months, while we are building a new one, but I am interested after the new year!

Well that was quick. Rosco's police car has been spoken for.

Thanks,

Definitely looking forward to your build. I always liked the State Patrol cars color and look here in WI. I contacted scale finishes about SP and Sheboygan county colors being produced. If you're going the SP route in blue I can keep you in the loop. I may end up doing 3 builds for this now that I remembered the Sheboygan county Camaro they brought to my high school back in the day..

Police Car Models has lots of decals for all sorts of departments. Bill Bozo has a very large assortment.

I can't find the WI State Patrol in the Bill Bozo list, but they are on a combined set under Chimneyville, I see.
Of course, I vaguely remember I might already have an Illinois State Patrol set waiting in my stash at home, so I'll have to check.
Lindberg has a kit that includes Illinois SP decals-- a Crown Victoria, if I remember right. It's not nearly as cool as the Mustang SSP though.
Thanks!

I searched for "wi" and "Wisconsin" and was given different results. There's State Patrol with other states included on this sheet: http://www.policecarmodels.com/1wimiokcimcc.html

Lindberg has a surprising amount of different units. I think the crown vic is preferred over e revell and the super-snap lindbergs dont look bad at all when built up.

I guess I overlooked the watermark. I thought you may have found a different sheet than I seeing as I didn't recognize chimneyville.
