A little less than 2 months left!

I just put some more putty on some ejection pin marks on the BT46 today. I was mildly surprised the tube of putty hadn't dried out!

1 month to go. December is a hard one since the Holidays are upon us. I won't finish the BT46 but hope to get a little more done.

My Subaru is about 80% done, and would be even closer if it weren't for the damn paint job. Just had to sand back my second attempt after it went all gritty and lumpy. Hopefully I third times the charm.

I think that's why I hate painting. So many ways to screw up. And when you get the final coat on, you spray on the clear coat and it all turns white. Ugh

Excellent work, folks! I will keep checking in on this group!
Yes, the Corvette turned out fantastic.
I like the paint and chrome discussions too. Those are the trickiest parts for me too. Like Gary said, you put all that work into a build, and then you hang on the finish of the paint and decals.

Well third time is the charm. Switched to humbrol enamel metallic blue and the paint went on a smooth as silk, though it looks quite grainy in the photo. It is lighter than I originally wanted, but with the tamiya acrylic underneath it's actually darker than what it looks like on bare plastic, so it has turned into a colour I am happy with, and there's even a bit of colour change with light angle going on.

So I might manage to get this one finished in time. That will be two unfinished kits completed this year, with two kits added to the unfinished pile. So my balance sheet for the year is breaking even

Ian,
Very nicely done. Enamels do shoot very well, but need a longer drying and curing time before you polish it out.

My Subaru is done. Had to add the missing chrome exhaust tip in these photos.

One of the bonnet hinges has been broken about 6 times, so I am going to see what I can do to strengthen it before it gets permanently attached. It's just carefully sitting on top in the photos.
