Not if I bought one, apparently the French sent us all their crap steel and the British ones all rusted away.

Hi Ken
Wonderful work! I've always had a soft spot for the classic DS, but I've never seen this beast before!
All the best

Excellent progress. I love doing what I call "Chop-Shop" work to make a specialized vehicle that is/was totally custom!
Kudos.

Ken,
You're selling yourself short. The Roof rack really looks quite good. So your soldering skills are more then up to the task.

This type of conversion has also been done to a SAAB 9-3.
Front wheel drive cars are easier to do this to:
I think they cut off half the SAAB and replaced it with most of a car transport trailer
Nice job on that DS

Look at the the joints where the cross bars/rods meet the sides.
Sometimes the solution is to use a larger soldering iron (more Watts) which can deliver more heat per second.
Tying the parts down on a board to keep everything in position can also help.

Hi all here is the next update (those opening doors were a nightmare) there are 2 tiny pins with corresponding holes in the inner door skins which have the hooks for the hinges in the door posts thing is if you put the doorskin in those pins the chrome trim won't align and the door droops so what I ended up doing was using liquid cement on the joins hanging the inner door then putting the outer skin up to it and using clamps to hold them in place till the glue sets.
Thanks guys

Ken,
Just outstanding progress, and the results are equally outstanding. Excellent solution to those opening doors. I truly hate movable anything on a model as the parts either don't fit or are drastically out of scale.

Ken,
You're really making nice progress now. The common body lines especially on the transporter really adds to the build.
