Getting ready to build a '64 1/24 Hasegawa Porsche Carrera II. Would like it to be champagne yellow exterior but have no idea as to blended color. Could be lacquer or acrylic. Any help with mixture?

Hi Patrick.

One option might be to get a tin of touch-up paint from HERE and have a bit of a test run with the airbrush to see how it goes.

Otherwise you could try contacting Gravity Colors to see if they can help out. They can mix colours that are not in their range if they are a standard database colour such as your Porsche Champagne Yellow.

Let us know how you go.

Cheers, D

Most paintshops would be able to give you a touchup jar of the original color. The factory code of this color is L6405. You can use the genuine automotive color on your model provided there is a sufficient basecoat.

Patrick,
I'm a Gravity of Spain (not florida, USA) devote as the service & paint are just fantastic, the complete opposite of Mate~ who runs the Florida operation,( they're now two different companies).

I just checked Gravity's Porsche Yellows, and there are 4 shades. None labeled as champagne yellow, but that doesn't mean that one shade is in reality the color you need. I've also used their "contact us" with a email question, and have always gotten an answer back within 24 hrs. Their online chat never seems to work.

They only ship via DHL to the USA, which is 3 day service door to door, and it's not expensive. I've ordered as little as 3 bottles of paint or supplies, or a dozen bottles. The shipping was the same cost, and 3 days from order to my door.

Joel
